The governorship candidate of Labour Party in Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti has disclosed his plans for Aba if he emerges the governor of the state come 2023.
Otti during a media chat with selected journalists in the state recently hinted that the development of the commercial city (Aba) remains paramount to him.
According to the governorship hopeful, Aba is very strategic to growth of the state as its development will rub off on other parts of the state. WATCH VIDEO BELOW FROM OUR YOUTUBE HANDLE:
“If you rebuild Aba, you can get all the revenue you require from Aba, but you must rebuild and set it up to function properly”
He revealed that he will create a Ministry of Aba as well as have a commissioner for Aba, whose primary role will be to rebuild because, presently, the city of Aba is in ruins.
“I have always had in my mind, and that was why in my manifesto in 2019, I made a sufficient provision for Aba, and that is the same in my current manifesto for 2023”
He faulted the Enyimba Economy City earlier proposed by the present administration in the state, and described it as scam.
“I told you in 2019 when they proposed to build that project that it is a scam, because right now, it does not exist, except on paper”
He noted that before building another city, you must first of all rebuild the existing one and that what his administration will focus if he wins the guber polls next year.
