Bandits Attack Ambulance Conveying Corpse, Kidnap Two In Abia
An ambulance conveying a corpse from Abraka, Delta state to Abia State was on Thursday, attacked by armed bandits.
The bandits had waylaid the ambulance at the Umunneochi/Ihube Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, whisked away three persons escorting the corpse while the corpse was abandoned on the road.
Those kidnapped include the deceased woman’s daughter, the driver of the ambulance and another relation. However, the deceased woman’s daughter managed to escape from the bandits.
The other two are still held captive while the corpse have been recovered and deposited in a mortuary.
