Abia Govt. Cancels July Sanitation For Residents To Register For PVC

The Saturday, July 30 sanitation in Abia state, have been cancelled by the state government to enable residents partake in the  the conclusion of the Voters Card (PVC) registration.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had announced July 31, as deadline for voters registration, warning that there would be no further extension.

A statement signed by secretary to the state government, Barrister Chris Ezem, announcing the cancellation of the sanitation exercise read partly;

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D has approved the cancellation of this month clean up excise schedule for Saturday 30, July 2022, this is to enable those that are yet to obtain their permanent voters card to use the period to do so before the expiration of the deadline.

Government urges all Abians and residents to use this opportunity properly by ensuring that they complete the registration process and  obtain their Permanent Voters Card.
