ABIA 2023: Zone Deputy Governorship Slot To Old Isuikwuato District -Women For Equity Charge PDP
The Women for Equity, a pro-PDP group of women from Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, has paid a solidarity visit to the Abia state PDP Chairman, Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo Okere at the Party’s Secretariat at Finbars road, Umuahia.
The women led by Chief Mrs. Ijeoma Okorie, praised the diligence of the State Chairman and his team in managing the affairs of the Party at this very crucial time in the life of the Party.
The Women for Equity assured Rt. Hon. Okere of the total support of all women of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi to the Party and its candidates in the forthcoming elections, with a guarantee of massive votes from the womenfolk. They encouraged the chairman and party to stand firm on its resolve to zone the deputy governorship slot to old Isuikwuato district, emphasizing it is the only morally right and equitable thing to do to rebalance the political template of Abia state in accord with equitable principles.
Responding, Rt. Hon. Okere thanked the Women for standing strong behind the Party which they have expressed through the solidarity visit.
He commended them for mobilizing the women of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi in the ongoing voter registration exercise and for their promise to vote massively for the Party in the forthcoming general elections.
The Chairman promised the group that the PDP will continue to provide a level playing ground for all as well as support Party in all the Local Government Areas of the State to make it stronger.
