A video of the President, Muhammadu Buhari hosting leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC to dinner hours after the raging Owo church massacre has elicited wild reactions from sections of Nigerians.
Unknown gunmen had on Sunday, June 5th launched a brutal attack on the St Francis Catholic church in Owo. In reports, no fewer than fifty persons including children were left dead after the terrorists opened fire on the worshippers.
Nigerians on the cyberspace have berated President Buhari’s resolve to host APC leaders to a ”banquet” in the sad face of insecurity.
While some netizens maintained it was insensitive to host a dinner moments after citizens were murdered inside a church, others opined the meeting should have held as it had probably been fixed before the devastating incident.
Meanwhile, the dinner at the statehouse comes in the buildup to the party’s convention slated to hold from June 6th to 8th.
