BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu Pleads Not Guilty On Amended Charges, Court Adjourn | READ DETAILS

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has pleaded not guilty to the 15 count charges brought against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Recall that Kanu appeared before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday, January 18. He however refused to take plea on the amended charges which was served his legal counsels on Monday evening.

Lead counsel to Kanu, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), had argued that the Federal government was trying to disrupt fair hearing in the way and manner they presented the amended charges all bordering on alleged felony and terrorism.

At the resumed hearing today, Wednesday, 19, Kanu pleaded not guilty before Justice Binta Nyako.

The DSS had before hand, produced several documentary evidence, including electronic devices it would use to play some of the alleged inciting broadcasts that were made by Kanu.

Justice Binta Nyako adjourned the matter to February 16, 2022 to consider the application to squash the charges against Kanu.
