Bende Battle Continues: Questions Trail Chima Anyaso’s ‘True Purpose’ Of Visiting Ben Kalu In Abuja

Chima Desmond Anyaso, Abia born philanthropist last week, visited Hon. Ben Kalu, member representing Bende Federal Constituency in Abuja. This visited has again raised political bust in Bende Federal Constituency as both camps seems to have gone back to the political war trenches.

Anyaso said during the visit, he encouraged Hon. Kalu who is also his representative in Abuja to deliver his mandate, not minding their political differences.

Hon Kalu (APC) and Anyaso (PDP) had run as opponents in the 2019 House of Representative member election in Bende LGA of Abia State.

Sharing some videos from the visit, Anyaso wrote;

At the instance of my very good friend and brother the performing Rep. Hon. Obinna Chidoka, I visited the National Assembly today to have a meeting with him and also hear his firsthand account of the Anambra State governorship election where our party the PDP contested. It is obvious that our democracy has a long way to go especially in the area of conducting credible elections but I’m confident that we are making progress.

I also stopped by to have a chat with Hon. Ben Kalu who currently represents Bende Federal Constituency where I come from. We had a cordial meeting and although we are of different political leanings with our different goals and aspirations, I encouraged him to continue to strive to deliver on his mandate and bring the dividends of democracy to our people. At the end of the day politics when played by men of good conscience is for the betterment of the greater majority and not for selfish interest of a few.

Hon. Kalu on his own part wrote;

I have always believed that politics without rancor or bitterness is a sure way to progressive leadership and productivity, and this will not be changing anytime soon.

Yesterday, I received one of my constituents whom I represent, and an opponent in the 2019 general elections, Chima Anyaso accompanied by a mutual friend Rep. Obinna Chidoka both of the PDP.

 

Despite the distractions he has brought to me in the past two years of my administration, I will continue to emphasize that we are first brothers before politics and this is why we will put our differences aside when necessary.

 

It was my pleasure to have him acknowledge the work we are doing in the constituency and for once accepted that Bende made the right choice with his encouragement for me to keep up the good work.

While some persons commended Chima Anyaso for visiting Hon. Kalu, others are questioning his real motive of visiting the Honorable member representing his constituency.

These inquiries have been fueled by comments attributed to Anyaso in some social media platforms and groups after his visit.

Comments like; ” I remain the winner and always on top as shown in this picture. I’m the movie director….. I will play another one when I decide to . Make una enjoy una weekend oh………” Chima Anyaso wrote.

Also some persons queried Anyaso for starting a video record before entering into Kalu’s office. They alleged that Anyaso had an ulterior motive as he caught the Honorable member unaware and was not expecting him to accept his offer for a handshake so that he can tag him an arrogant member in the media.
