The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), have again refuted one of the myths associated with the Fifth Generation network (5G).

The NCC is the Independent Regulatory Authority for the telecoms industry in Nigeria.

Clarifying the myth that  ‘5G optimizes the spread of covid-19’the NCC said;

“Covid-19 does not spread over radio waves or mobile networks.”

The Regulatory Body had earlier noted that ” Nigeria is experiencing exponential growth in connectivity demands as such 5G  would play a vital role in meeting this demand and accelerate digital economy transformation and growth.” This was in response to the myth that the 5G network should be stopped as ‘it is not needed’.

May be an image of one or more people and text that says "NGC NIGERIAN COMMISSION ncc@ncc.gov.ng www.ncc.gov.ng MYTHS 5G is not needed FACTS Nigeria is experiencing exponentia growth in connectivity demands as such 5G would play a vital role in meeting this demand and accelerate digital economy transformation and growth STOP 5G 5G 5GNOT NEEDED NOT NEEDED NEEDED STOP 5G"
