Abia State House of Assembly on Oversight Functions, Meets with MDAs

Despite being on recess from plenary, various Committees of the Abia State House of Assembly are still carrying out their oversight functions.

 

The House Committee on Public Accounts, Anti Corruption and Due Process, has, among other Committees, been carrying out its oversight functions this week on relevant government agencies as it relates to the Audit Report of 2020.

 

Some of the MDAs that appeared before the committee this week are:

 

  1. Ministry of Sports
  2. ABSUTH
  3. Abia Diagnostic Centre
  4. Ministry of Industry among others

The work continues next week with the following MDAs expected to appear before the House Committee:

  8. Ministry of Public Utilities and Water Resources
  9. Ministry of Women Affairs

10.Ministry of Small & Medium Scale Enterprises Development

  1. Bureau of Statistics
  2. Abia State Community & Social Develooment Agency
  3. FADAMA
  4. Abia State Law Review & Reform
  5. RAMP
  6. Ministry of Cooperative & Rural Development
