“Twenty-one Abia State students have been awarded full tuition scholarships by the Emeka Charles Kalu Foundation, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to educational empowerment and equal opportunities.”
Twenty-one students who excelled in the assessment test conducted by the Emeka Charles Kalu (ECK) Foundation on June 22, 2024, have been awarded full tuition scholarships. These students, selected from various secondary and tertiary institutions, were chosen after a rigorous assessment and verification process.
According to information obtained by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, eight secondary school students and thirteen undergraduates are among the fortunate recipients who successfully navigated the selection process.
During an interaction with the founder and financier of the ECK Foundation, Chief Emeka Charles Kalu, he emphasized the paramount importance of education as a tool for empowerment.
“Education is the key empowerment, the empowerment above every other empowerment, and the growth of any nation depends on education,” Chief Kalu stated. “While the ECK Foundation is involved in numerous other empowerment projects, we prioritize educational empowerment and invest heavily in it. We are deliberately doing this because we want to create a fair society where the son or daughter of a less privileged home can also aspire to the top through our educational empowerment.”
Chief Kalu further emphasized the broader scope of the scholarship program, noting that it is not limited to Abia State or Abians alone but is available to Nigerians nationwide.
“So many students are already enjoying this scholarship from different parts of Nigeria; the recent examination is only the 2024 edition,” he added.
This initiative by the ECK Foundation demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering educational opportunities and ensuring that talented students, regardless of their financial background, have the chance to achieve their academic and professional goals.
