2025-2026 La Liga Matchday One Fixtures Confirmed, El-Clásico Dates Revealed
The Spanish LaLiga has on Tuesday, July 1, released the complete fixtures for the first matchday of the 2025-2026 season.
LaLiga confirmed that the 2025-2026 matchday one will kick off across Spain on the weekend of August 17 and August 18, 2025.
Based on the official list of fixtures the league body announced, Real Madrid will open their LaLiga campaign with a game against Osasuna at their iconic Santiago Bernabéu.
FC Barcelona, the reigning champions of the Spanish league, will open their campaign with an away game as they will travel to face Mallorca.
This means that Barcelona fans will have to wait until matchday two before they watch their team play at their refurbished Spotify Camp Nou.

Alavés vs Levante
Athletic Club vs Sevilla
Celta de Vigo vs Getafe
Girona vs Rayo Vallecano
Espanyol vs Atlético Madrid
Mallorca vs Barcelona
Elche vs Real Betis
Real Madrid vs Osasuna
Valencia vs Osasuna
Villarreal vs Real Oviedo
Meanwhile, the El Clásico fixtures between Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga for the 2025-2026 season have been confirmed.
Based on the LaLiga calendar released on Tuesday, the first leg of the Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona clash, the most anticipated matchup in the league, will take place on the weekend 25/26 October at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Football enthusiasts will have to wait until the weekend of the 9/10 May 2026 before they can watch the second leg at the new Spotify Camp Nou.
