2023 VP Ticket: PDP Leadership Rules In Favour Of Nyesom Wike | READ DETAILS
As INEC deadline for political parties to submit running mate draws near, from a reliable source,we can authoritatively confirm that Nyesom Wike of Rivers state is favoured to be the running mate of Atiku Abubakar.
The National advisory committee headed by the Deputy Chairman, Umar Shehu Damagum made the resolution in a three hour meeting on Tuesday, June 14.
Impeccable sources revealed that the committee member ruled 16 to 3 in favour of the Wike ahead of Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Another source who spoke on condition of anonymity said there will be a screening exercise tomorrow but also confirmed that the conclusion was in favour of Nyesom Wike.
Members who attended the meeting include: House Minority Leader, Hon. Tony Elumelu, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom,former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, former Cross Rivers State Governor, Liyel Imoke, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, former governor of Niger State, Babagida Aliyu.
Others include former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko and PDP National Secretary, Sam Nwayanu,former senate president David Mark,National Organising Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature,
