Ahead of Nigeria’s most decisive moment in 2023, Presidential aspirants, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP are billed to unveil their running mates for the 2023 Presidential election on Wednesday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 14th respectively.

While Tinubu who is set to reach a conclusion c with APC Governors on Tuesday, June 14, will announce his running mate on Wednesday, his counterpart, Atiku is expected to unveil his running mate come Tuesday.

According to sources in the APC, Governors and other stakeholders in the party have resolved to go for a Vice Presidential candidate from the NorthEast. This translates to the fact that the Asiwaju of Lagos might settle for a Muslin as his running mate.

However, it is not clear what religious sphere Atiku will pick his running mate from.
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC had earlier set June 17 as the deadline for all political parties to submit their presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2023 general elections.
