The Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu on Sunday assured the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,of massive support from the Southeast region.
Kalu who visited Asiwaju Tinubu last night in his Abuja home promised to mobilize the region for the party come 2023 general election.
The duo met behind closed doors.
A source close to the APC standard bearer said Kalu pledged to mobilize the people of the Southeast for the actualisation of Asiaju Tinubu’s presidential ambition.
“Though the meeting was very brief, the two leaders had a heart-to-heart discussion with Senator Kalu pledging to mobilize his people in the Southeast to support and vote for the Tinubu/Shetimma ticket.
“Senator Kalu promised to swing into action as soon as the campaign proper starts by the end of the month by combing all the nooks and crannies of the Southeast.”
Also, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aviation, Smart Adeyemi, has supported the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
In the vein, Adeyemi publicly expressed his support while addressing reporters yesterday in Abuja insisting that the Tinubu and Shettima ticket has the capacity to revamp the economy and fight insecurity, if elected in the next year’s election.
