A former Director, Department of State Security Service (DSS), Chief Raymond Nkemdirim, has stated that anyone who is fighting against the 2023 governorship position coming to the people of Abia North is going contrary to natural justice, equity and good conscience.
Ray Nkemdirim said this in Abuja on Saturday while interacting with ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER correspondence after a meeting of Abia North indigenes resident in Abuja.
Speaking on the outcome of the meeting he said;
It has had a very positive outcome in the sense that we have all come here and we have all agreed on the fact that Abia North should indeed produce the governor in 2023.
By every principle, even in law, when something goes wrong, we say; what you are trying to do is repugnant to natural justice, equity and good conscience.
Anybody who says the governorship should not come to Abia North indeed is doing something that is repugnant to natural justice and equity and good conscience. I believe that we have started the process here today to tell Abia people that indeed in the interest of equity, governorship 2023 should be zoned to Abia north.
Nkemdirim noted that the governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, “is a product of equity and should ensure in that same process, that equity is taken into account in selecting the governorship candidate come 2023”.
