2023: Abiriba Community In Abia Defies Sit At Home, Endorse Peter Obi, Otti
Despite the Monday sit-at-home order imposed in south eastern states by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Abiriba community in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia state, broke the jinx, staging a one million man march for Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate.
During the march, members of Abiriba community endorsed Peter Obi and Dr Alex Otti, the governorship candidate of Labour party in Abia state, as their consensus candidates ahead of the 2023 elections.
Speaking on behalf of the crowd, the coordinator of the march, and chairman Enuda High school Abiriba Alumni Association, Chief Inem Nwaka noted that the endorsement of Obi and Otti made under the popular ‘achi tree’ in the community is authentic, therefore any endorsement on any other candidate remains invalid.
Speaking to All Facts Newspaper, some of the participants at the one million man march including Dr. Nwokocha O. Eze, Dr Robert and others, expressed excitement on the turn out, noting that Labour Party has taken over Abiriba.
According to them, Nigerians has suffered enough and 2023 is the time to experience change which they said Obi and Otti can offer in the country and Abia state.
